Whether you’re trying to unweight a joint, prepare for or recover from surgery, achieve balance, maintain walking or want power on that steep hill, optimal use of poles can make a huge difference!

I work by the session - not hourly - because I want each person to feel they’ve connected with their bodies and really feel the benefits of effectively using the upper body muscles to help preserve the joints. More info.

Phone Coaching

Description of 4 Phone Consult Options:

The Basic Pole Question Consult relates to a specific question about the DVD. You’ve bought the DVD, you’ve taken the time to thoroughly watch it and you’ve practiced. You’ve checked our blog for updates & yet still have a question. Fill out the Purchase Info Consultation Form and let’s answer it! Free

Basic Phone Consult enables us to discuss your issues and how poles might help you (about ½ hour). Be sure to indicate which  DVD you have been working with -  this consult helps us to Finesse Your Form $45

Extended Phone Consult enables us to go into more depth about your technique & concerns (about an hour). Includes discussion of which poles might best suit your needs and goals. $75

Mobility, Hiking or Travel Consult is an Extended Phone Consult PLUS a Follow Up to see how you fare. How can poles help you achieve, maintain and even regain mobility? $135

Coaching for Hiking:

Watch the Hiking DVD, then plan on one long session or come to a Hikers Field Seminar (see calendar or gather a few buddies and we’ll set one up).

Coaching for Nordic Walking:

Review the Nordic Walking page on this website, watch the 7 minute YouTube video, then plan on one session - this is a skill that's easy to learn, fun to do and is a great way to exercise. Ask a walking buddy to join you. Learn and walk together!

Coaching for Mobility or anyone with "issues":

I usually plan on 3 sessions. If you’ve watched the POLES for Mobility DVD, much of what we do becomes a comprehensive review.

Here's the format I've found that works well:

1st session is 1.5 to 2.5 hours.

We cover your history, evaluate your body mechanics and review your issues/pain/concerns. We figure out what your goals are for health, exercise and wellness and then work out a progressive plan to help you achieve them.

We talk about gear and determine which poles fit your body and suit your needs/goals.

Since every person is so different, this first session can include a huge variety of info.

2nd session: We practice a program that will help you to see results.

3rd session: Review & discussion of progressions to keep you moving and grooving with your poles.

I work by the session, not the hour. 2nd and 3rd sessions might be an hour or 1.5 hours or more. It all depends on what's happening with you and how we feel. All my work is 100% satisfaction guaranteed.

Percussion Therapy: Gentle, yet deep, I've found this therapy to be particularly effective for:
